Hard to keep the laundry clean when it’s dragging on the ground …

  2. milkayphoto says:

Why does others’ laundry look interesting when mine looks, well, like laundry. :-(

Took me a minute to realize that you–and not the sheets and dainty underthings–were at the Castle. That’s a very well-swept and sunny laundry terrace. Much more picturesque than a deck in the woods with a couple of disreputable dogs playing hide and seek under the flapping towels. Ah well, the terrace is always sunnier on the other side of the world.

  4. Truels says:

Light and composition are fine. And the laundry is able to stimulate the imagination ……….. ;-)

  5. Isabelle says:

Why does your picture make me think of a scene in a Bertold Brecht’s play ? In any case this is a great image… stimulating the imagination (dixit Truels).

    • Carsten says:

Well I don’t know Isa. I’ve never seen a Brecht play. Maybe I felt having too much of him during the German lessons in school.
I’m glad that I can stimulate my visitors imaginations.

  6. What? Castles do not have dryers? Well, at least, their laundry is clean. ;)

    • Carsten says:

Dryed in the wind and bleached by the sun. What do we need electric dryers for? Well, maybe in the wintertime….
I think that this display of laundry was meant to show ancient times’ way of living. It fits well in the picture of the old castle of the beautiful Prague. Don’t miss that place if when you visit Europe.
