December VIII
Holly, Ilex Aquifolium, with it’s fruits is very decorative. Use them indoors for decorations or leave it outside. The birds will eat the berries when the frost have prepared them. The colors are beautiful.

December is also plants with bad timing. This is a Kerria Japonica with a single flower. The rest of the flowers will show up in late spring – early summer.

A Christmas tradition. When I was a child I had a ‘Christmas stocking’. Every morning in December from the 1st. to the 24th. there was a small thing in it. Now instead we prepare 24 small packages for our mothers.
