It looks good in b&w, but having seen the color version with the beautiful warm colors, I prefer the color
It depends entirely on what mood you would like to evoke. I strongly prefer the color version, perhaps because it is more hopeful, with its glimpse of blue behind fog that is burning off. In the black and white version, the fog is settling in I think, and the glow may not be the sun.

It is not that I dislike the color version.
This is a stunning image, Carsten. I prefer this to the color. You’d think b/w would invoke feelings of gloom and coldness but it doesn’t. To me, it’s like the forest is waking up from a wonderful, sleepy nap! Well done!
