The cherries have shown their flowers for a week now. The end is near, and the ground will be covered with the petals – pink until rain washes them away or the sun dries them out. I caught some of them remaining on the tree.
Petals on the ground…another photo op for you, Carsten. Maybe even one you could use for the next photo assignment I posted today. (See how I got that in?)
It looks like your Spring came later than us. This is a nice captured of the blossom, I like the dark background.
The spring was late this year. It is cold in Denmark. Average temperature has been 4 deg C lower than normal for May.
I took this: https://c-langkjaer.dk/wordpress/lang/en/2009/05/lyser%c3%b8dt-loft-pink-ceiling/
last year and I wanted to go back and work a little more on this – but too late.
Thanks Nye.

Thanks for the assignment Scott. Yes, it might be. In fact I did a few shots of the petals on the ground. Maybe they will find use someday.
SO pretty!
Thanks Michaela. I have never seen cherries on these trees. I think they are grown mainly for their one week pink dress.
These look like costumes from classic ballet, tossed in heaps after a bravura performance, left for the wardrobe mistress to tend.
I like your way of seeing images in pictures Gerry. And your way of expressing it in words. Thanks. I hope you had a good day today.
