Scott Thomas has given us his 23rd assignment: Winter.
I’ll write very short about my winter. Acording to the calendar, it covers December, January and February. I think it starts in the beginning of November when I have to leave home early in the morning, long before sunrise, and ends in the middle of March. These dark, cold and wet months is what we call winter. Personally I’m not very fond of it!
After the dark n wet start we usually get frost and snow. Not that I like snow – is has to be removed from the pathways. But the snow gives LIGHT. Bright light in the daytime and enough light at night for seeing outside.
Let me show you a couple of images from my local area:
Once upon a time Scott Thomas wrote out an assignment “Four Seasons 2011”
The subject for this contribution is my gate to the wood. On this litte bench my wife and sat waiting for the real-estate broker. I immediately fell in love with this place. This view is now gone. The tree to the right fell because the bark was hurt by some machine. The little bench was pulled out of the ground and disappeared after a short time.
For quite some time I frequently took pictures here when I took a walk in the forest.
I do miss this view.
The order of the pictures is random.

The image in todays post is from the archive.
This is My Grandma and her puppy. She was born and grew up in this area. Holts Point, Winnipeg, Canada. I can not find it on the Google Maps, but I found it on the sort of maps that comes on paper when I was a boy.
Maybe here is an idea for transportation for those of you having snow and dogs….
